Trust & verification

How we verify sellers

Trust is the heart of the platform. Every seller passes multiple layers of verification before earning a badge — and is monitored continuously afterwards.

  1. 1

    Company-document verification

Every seller submits their company/commercial registration (13-digit no.) and identity documents. Our team cross-checks them against the DBD registry before approval.

  2. 2

    Onsite premises inspection

Higher-tier sellers pass a physical factory/warehouse inspection by our team, with the date and inspector on record — confirming a real operation, not a shell company.

  3. 3

    Ongoing fulfilment scoring

Every on-platform deal feeds a fulfilment score. Sellers who miss commitments or draw repeated complaints are automatically down-ranked and may lose their badge.

How we fight fraud

Trust Gate is a neutral venue — we never hold anyone’s money, so we fight fraud with layers that make it hard to get in, easy to catch, and impossible to quietly re-register:

Permanent shop code

Every shop carries a unique TG-xxxxx code that can never be edited — used to confirm identity and audit history.

Identity blacklist

A shop suspended for fraud cannot re-register with the same national ID or phone number.

Witnessed handover

Deals shipped via the Trust Gate fleet get a real pickup–delivery record as neutral proof of handover.

Real-deal reviews + scoring

Reviews come only from people who closed a real deal; repeat no-shows are down-ranked and can lose their badge.

Report & instant suspend

Report any profile in one tap; our team reviews and suspends offenders, removing them from the site at once.

Identity checked at the gate

Every seller verifies a 13-digit national ID + mobile number before the shop can open.

How a deal happens on Trust Gate

Trust Gate owns no factory or warehouse and never holds the parties’ goods. The platform helps two businesses discover, verify and negotiate with an accountable record.

  1. 1

    Find the right seller

Choose manufacturers and wholesalers by category, province and verification level.

  2. 2

    Confirm they are real

Check the permanent TG- shop code and document or onsite verification level.

  3. 3

    Request quotations

Send specifications and compare offers from suitable sellers.

  4. 4

    Negotiate on-platform

Timestamped messages provide a record if a dispute arises.

  5. 5

    Close the deal yourselves

The contract, payment and tax invoice remain directly between the parties.

Trust Gate responsibilities and operated services

Trust Gate does not receive or hold funds, charge trade commission, or become a party to the sales contract. We are directly responsible only for services we operate: annual membership, advertising space and transport services users elect to use.

Data security

We did not roll our own storage or login system — we run on infrastructure used and audited by engineering teams worldwide. Here is what actually happens to your data:

How your data is held

  • Your password never sits on our servers

Accounts run on Supabase Auth: passwords are one-way hashed and unreadable to Trust Gate. Sign in with Google or Facebook and we never touch a password at all.

  • Your shop data cannot be pulled by anyone else

Row Level Security is enabled on every table, enforced in the database rather than in page code — so a seller can only ever read their own orders, messages and revenue.

  • Every page is an encrypted connection

The whole site is served over HTTPS/TLS on Cloudflare’s network, including product photos and the documents you upload.

  • We do not store card numbers

Membership is paid on Stripe’s own hosted page. Card numbers never pass through a Trust Gate server, and no field in our database holds one.

  • What this does not cover — plainly

We protect your account and your data, not your payment for goods. Trust Gate never holds either side’s money and is not a party to the deal; paying is strictly between you and the other side.

Our database and account system run on Supabase, the open-source infrastructure platform used by engineering teams worldwide and operated to international security standards.

Supabase, Cloudflare and Stripe are trademarks of their respective owners, shown only to identify the infrastructure we run on — not as an endorsement, sponsorship or partnership with Trust Gate.

FAQ

How trustworthy is a badged seller?
Badges reflect real verification depth — from company-document checks to onsite inspection — combined with fulfilment score and reviews from real buyers.
What if I find a suspicious seller?
Use the “Report seller” button on the profile to alert our Trust & Safety team. We review every report and may suspend sellers who breach the rules.
Is Trust Gate liable for transactions?
Trust Gate is an intermediary connecting buyers and sellers. We vet sellers rigorously, but the sales contract is directly between the parties — always confirm terms before paying.
