What should a restaurant ask before its first frozen-food order?
Ask the shelf life after production and after thawing, pack and carton sizes, the minimum per item, and get samples to fry or steam in your own kitchen before ordering in volume.
Can frozen food be shipped upcountry?
It depends on the seller. Some use refrigerated trucks, others foam boxes with dry ice. Ask whether they reach your area, how long it takes, the freight cost and who is responsible if goods thaw in transit.
Which documents should I look for?
Packaged processed food should carry a Thai FDA (อย.) number on the label, which you can check on the FDA website yourself. Ask whether it is made in a GMP-certified plant if your business needs the paperwork.
How do I know which shops have been checked?
Look at the badge on the card and the shop page. “Document Verified” means our team checked the shop’s documents; “Onsite Verified” means we visited. Shops labelled “Public data” were compiled from open sources and have not been checked, and “Sample shop” marks a demo storefront.
