Finding a wholesale watch dealer in Thailand: genuine, OEM and counterfeit

Wholesale watches in Thailand come in three kinds, and you need to know which one you are being offered before talking price. 1. Genuine branded stock — ask whether the seller is a dealer appointed by the brand or its importer, and ask to see the appointment letter. Stock from official channels usually comes with a warranty card naming the shop. If the seller buys from elsewhere, the warranty may not apply — ask. 2. OEM/ODM under your own brand — a factory assembles the watch and puts your logo on it. Specify the movement (for example, whose quartz movement), case and strap materials, water resistance and the warranty the factory gives. Always get a sample before the real order. 3. Counterfeits — watches that use another brand’s name or logo without permission break trademark law, for the seller and for anyone who resells them. An unusually low price for a famous brand is the first sign. What to ask for in a quote: model and product code, minimum order, price per quantity tier, lead time, and claim and warranty terms.
