With private-label IT goods — cables, power banks, Bluetooth earphones, phone cases — the main risk is receiving stock you cannot legally sell because a certification is missing. Ask about these before ordering. 1. Mandatory standards (TIS) — some electrical products are on the Thai Industrial Standards Institute’s mandatory list. Ask the factory whether yours is, and who applies for it. 2. Radio equipment — products with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi must meet NBTC requirements. Ask whether this model is already certified and whether the certificate holder matches the importer or seller. 3. Batteries — ask for real capacity, cell type and safety test results, and about lithium-battery shipping limits if the goods travel by air. 4. A numeric spec — wattage, cable length, bend-test cycles, port standard. Put them in the quotation so you can check the goods on arrival. 5. Samples, minimums and warranty — order a sample first, ask the MOQ per colour or design, and agree an acceptable defect rate and how claims work.
